Top 5 Bermuda Fish Sandwiches

The Bermuda Fish Sandwich, usually made with fried local fish, tartar sauce, coleslaw and hot sauce on raisin bread toast is a local favourite and must try when visiting Bermuda. With many restaurants offering their take on the Bermuda classic the debate for the best fish sandwich is never ending. The restaurant listing website Menus.bm conducted a survey of over 300 of their users to figure out which restaurant has the best fish sandwich.

1. Art Mel’s

This small restaurant to the North of Hamilton has a big reputation and an even bigger fish sandwich. An Art Mel’s fish sandwich is piled high with fish to make a sandwich big enough for two meals.

2. Woody’s

Just outside of The Royal Naval Dockyard in the West end of the island, Woody’s is known for their take on the classic Bermuda fish sandwich called the ‘Famous Fish Sandwich’ with your choice of local fish. This sports bar is full of welcoming locals that make sure visitors have a great time.

3. Seaside Grill

Seaside Grill sits right on the water of North Shore where they are able to directly receive fresh local fish. You can build your fish sandwich from Seaside Grill with the toppings and fish of your choice.

4. Café Olé

Already located at the poplar Crystal & Fantasy Caves, Café Olé is quite popular for their fish sandwich. Whether you are visiting the caves and want to enjoy lunch on the patio or grabbing lunch on the way to your favourite park you will not be disappointed with Café Olé’s fish sandwich.

5. Grannies

As one of the last traditional Bermudian restaurants it is not a surprise that Grannies was voted one of the best fish sandwiches. Located just out of town, it is quick and convenient to get any of Grannies’ great food.
